FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Q: My score seems to be inaccurate. What's up?
A: The plus/minus points are based on the official NHL data feed received after the game. Plus/minus (+/-) stats are calculated by whether or not a goal is scored for or against the team when a player is on the ice. Power play goals and penalty shots are not used in calculating the +/- points. Occasionally the NHL modifies the +/- points. If that occurs, adjustments will be reflected in the Game as they are received.

Q: Why is the player I want missing from the bench?
A: Only active players are listed on the bench so that the Game does not select a non-active player as your Power Player. If a player is a healthy scratch, or does not skate, that player may still be on the lineup for a game. If you do select a player who does not play, you will not be penalized, as that player will have zero (0) points. In addition, if an injured player becomes active on the day of play, the roster may not be updated in time to be able to select that player.

Q: My Power Player was inactive. How does this affect my score?
A: If the Power Player became inactive and did not play in the game, you will not be penalized with minus points, as that player will have zero (0) points.

Q: What can I do if I can’t login?
A: Make sure you are using the email address that you signed up with. In addition, make sure your caps lock is not on, and do not include any extra spaces. If this does not help, click on “Forgot your password?” on the login page to have your password sent to your email, and then try again with that password. If you are still having issues, please send us an email and tell us what operating system and browser you are using.

Q: Why is the lineup locked?
A: Two hours before the start of the Buffalo Sabres regulation game, the lineup is locked down and stays locked until the next day. You will not be able to change your lineup at this time; however, this is when you will be able to see your (and your opponent’s) Power Player.
